Time flies in the days leading up to your wedding can worsen with emotions and anxieties running high. The last few days before your wedding are crucial.

Reluctantly things will pop up no matter how much you’ve prepared. It’s not quite time to kick your feet up and relax yet. If you can clear your schedule take a couple of days off leading up to the big day.

Last-minute details may need your time and attention.

Keep calm and be flexible.

I have ten things you can do to lower some of your anxiety and reassure yourself that your moment will be marvelous.

1. Meet with your planner or day-of coordinator

It’s time to reach out to your planner! Ensure that your planner confirms your RSVP list, finalizes the seating chart, confirms all vendors, secures the wedding license, double-checks honeymoon plans, and gets all necessary items delivered to the venue.

2. Payments

Use this time before the wedding to organize a payment schedule for everything you owe. Be on time with all payments going out to each vendor. Double-check contracts and deadlines. Also, it’s a great time to group any gratuities into separate envelopes.

3. Bonding

Create some time to check in on your VIP’s. This includes in-laws, parents, bridesmaids, groomsmen, but most importantly, spend some time with your fiancé. I recommend doing something relaxing, for each couple, this may mean something different.

You could visit a spa together, go on a hike, take a mini trip to the beach. Whatever you choose to do, this should be a time to connect and prepare for your special day.

4. Build a Kit

You can do this many ways to order and purchase a premade kit online, but if you are looking for a more finely tuned emergency kit, I’d say do it yourself.

Whichever way you decide to do it, an emergency kit should include items such as Band-Aids, hair clips, hair spray, tampons, pads, extra makeup, makeup wipes, tissues, Tylenol, safety pins, and whatever else you may need.

5. Make Sure to Sparkle

Contact your jeweler to get your rings cleaned. Make sure to ask how long the process takes so you can have your wedding rings back in time for the big day. The closer to your actual wedding date, the better, ensuring a little extra sparkle never hurt anyone.

6. The Finished Product

Step into your dress and accessories do a mock day where you try out hair and makeup this way; you can make any last-minute changes. Start wearing your shoes around to break them in for optimal comfort on the day off your event.

7. Tidy up

Clean your home. This can help after long days coming home to a clean space.

8. Finishing Touches

Make sure to get any necessary waxing done a couple of days before your event. This way, any redness, and swelling can go down before the big day. Get your manicure and pedicure done. Wedding nails are essential to complete the full look. Get your teeth whitened so you can smile big in all your photos

9. Rehearse, Rehearse, Rehearse

Hold a rehearsal dinner in the days leading up to the wedding the night before is the traditional way to host a rehearsal dinner.

Go over the exchanging of rings during the ceremony and ensuring proper coaching to flower girls and ring bearers thoroughly before the event. Leave nothing to chance have your bridesmaids and grooms’ men rehearse their placements, walking in and walking out.

If you plan on doing a special dance, spend some time perfecting last-minute details and routines. When rehearsal is over, there should be no questions left to answer during execution in the final moments.

10. Self-Care

Last but not least, self-care is a huge part of feeling and looking your best on your wedding day. Drink plenty of water, get plenty of sleep, and do some breathing exercises.

Incorporate some morning yoga into your routine days leading up to the wedding and maybe arranging for a last-minute massage. If all else fails, order some good food and watch your favorite movies.
